The Beasts of Old Valyria – ‘Dragons of King’s Landing’ Event Preview

 |  By

When Aegon I Targaryen conquered the Seven Kingdoms, he chose not to embrace the more established city of Old Town as his capital. Instead, he built upon the spot where his ships first landed from Dragonstone. As his conquest spread, so did the scale and power of the city. While the Targaryen dynasty no longer reigns, you can still spot the influence of the house of the dragon throughout the city– from the ruins of the great Dragon Pits upon the Hill of Rhaenys, to the basement of the Red Keep where the last of the Targaryen dragon’s skulls still remain.

Celebrate the release of House of the Dragon along with the Game of Thrones: Conquest community and earn unique rewards! The next Dragon event arc begins on September 5th with ‘Dragons of King’s Landing’ and you can expect to see a new set of Dragon customization options. The ‘Mother of Dragons’ monthly event arc will also be running, starting on September 6th, which will introduce a brand new gear set and a new pair of heroes. Let’s see what this packed month will have to offer!

New Dragon Customizations – Set #2!

The second set of new Dragon Customizations will be arriving in-game starting on September 5th! Simply log into the game and visit your Dragon Pit to start customizing. Here are the options you can expect to see:

  • Hazey Sapphire
  • Coastal Forest
  • Deep Scarlet

Dragon Horns

  • Arched
  • Recurved
  • Rounded

Dragon Eye Colors

  • Cornflower
  • Honey
  • Wine

We’ve got one more set of Dragon Customizations to unveil in the next few weeks and it may include a color shade that’s been highly requested from the community… Be sure to catch our future blogs to find out which one it is!

New Targaryen Royal Gear Set!

Your first opportunity to craft the new Targaryen Royal gear set will be on September 6th when the “Golden Crown” event goes live! Branded with the Targaryen seal and Dragon aesthetics, this gear set provides stats which compliment Rallying and combat at Seats of Power. Each gear piece is also specialized by troop type, so feel free to leave other gear slots open for mixed sets. Here are the troop focuses for each gear piece:

Ranged: Boots, Ring

Infantry: Chest, Pants

Calvary: Helmet, Sword

Let us know your thoughts on the Targaryen Royal gear set and how you’ll be implementing it into your loadouts. As always, you can discuss your builds and provide feedback in the #smithy channel of our Discord!

New Heroes – Varys & Tyrion!

It’s been a little bit of a wait, however two new heroes will be arriving to Game of Thrones: Conquest on September 19th. We’ll be introducing Varys – Keeper of the Realm and Tyrion Lannister – Hand of the Queen! These heroes are still a work-in-progress, but that doesn’t mean we can’t give you a glimpse into their focuses.

Varys – Keeper of the Realm is a Mythic hero who takes on the role as Grand Maester. Seated at the Council, he’ll provide buffs to your marches when attacking Seats of Power — Dragon Troop Defense Vs. Seats of Power being his Signature Skill.

Tyrion Lannister – Hand of the Queen is a Heroic hero who serves as the Master of Laws. He’s a Council-driven hero who specializes in Dragon Infantry Combat with Dragon Infantry Attack Vs. Players as his Signature Skill.

These heroes will be summonable at the Tower of the Hand later in September and we’ll have more information about them in the next few weeks as they get further developed!

Dragon Rewards Available Through October

As a reminder, we have a few Dragon themed rewards still available until the end of October. Here’s a quick run-down:

Dragon Showcase

We can’t wait to see all of the new color and style combinations your Dragons will be wearing soon! In the meantime, let’s give a spotlight to one Dragon who’s not afraid to change things up.

We’d like for you to meet Rhaegal who is trained by KhaleesiReign of K1171. Although he shares the same name as another infamous Dragon, this one is a bit more tempered. You can see him sporting the new Mottle body pattern!

To submit your Dragon for consideration in a future showcase, tweet at @GOTConquest with a screenshot of your Dragon along with your username, Dragon’s name, Kingdom Number, and other fun details that you would like to provide.
